5SHX2645L0002 Advanced SmartGS®-2 Plus technology provides enhanced performance for highly reliable visual inspection applications
With high measurement accuracy and real-time imaging visual data acquisition capabilities, the global shutter sensor is widely used in a variety of industrial machine vision application scenarios such as detection, identification, sorting, and so on, which has obvious advantages in eliminating motion blur and improving image quality.
The SC235HGS and SC135HGS use Sterway’s innovative SmartGS®-2 Plus technology, which is based on global shutter technology and backlighting pixel structure design, resulting in higher sensitivity and better quantum efficiency (QE), and the application of High Density MIM(HD MIM) process. The random noise is greatly reduced and the image quality is improved. With the help of SmartGS®-2 Plus technology, the SC235HGS and SC135HGS achieve better imaging performance than their 4.0μm predecessors based on a smaller 3.45μm pixel size.
The SC235HGS and SC135HGS image sensors with high sensitivity, high QE, and low noise significantly improve the ability of professional machine vision applications to detect fast-moving parts, achieve high-quality image capture in low-light environments, and improve production efficiency.
High sensitivity
Combined with Sterway’s unique SFCPixel® patented technology, the SC235HGS 5SHX2645L0002 and SC135HGS chips capture bright and clear images even at night or in low-light environments, enabling industrial machine vision applications to capture objects more accurately. Improve scanning accuracy and reliability.
High QE
With the help of SmartGS®-2 Plus advanced technology, the SC235HGS and SC135HGS can achieve a peak quantum efficiency (peak QE) of up to 90%, an improvement of approximately 7% compared to previous generations of technology products. Even in low-light industrial environments, the high QE performance of the new product can still help machine vision cameras accurately detect and measure targets, and efficiently solve the problem of automated assembly line visual information acquisition.
Low noise
The SC235HGS and SC135HGS achieve better noise suppression and further optimise imaging performance5SHX2645L0002 at high temperatures with the help of Steway’s innovative ultra-low noise peripheral read circuit technology. At 16x gain, the fixed noise (FPN) of the SC235HGS and SC135HGS is as low as 2.03e-, a substantial reduction of about 77% compared to the previous generation of technology products. In addition, both chips achieve PRNU as low as 0.62%, and the dark current (DC) is as low as 350e-/s at 80°C, which is 26% and 39% lower than the previous generation of technology products, respectively, which not only brings clean and low-noise imaging effects, but also improves the imaging performance of the new products at high temperatures.
