9905-870 Corso introduces more reliable industrial power supplies

9905-870 COSEL Co., LTD. (6905: Tokyo) announces the introduction of a series of AC/DC power supplies for industrial PDAs with increased reliability. The PDA series uses a quasi-resonant topology with a small number of components to improve reliability and achieve a high cost performance while maintaining high quality standards. The PDA series is fully backward compatible in form, assembly and function with the PBA series, which is on its way out after two decades powering many applications around the world. The first models to be launched include the PDA15F (15W), PDA30F (30W) and PDA50F (50W), with other models to follow. The PDA series has a wide range of applications and can work in a wide temperature range of -20 ~ +70 ° C. The power supply is UL/EN62368-1 certified.

The PDA series is designed for global applications with a single-phase input voltage range of 85VAC to 264VAC and meets safety standards for the input voltage range of 100VAC to 240VAC (50/60Hz).

The PDA15F (15W), PDA30F (30W) and PDA50F (50W) are available in 5V, 12V9905-870 and 24V output voltages and corresponding output currents. The output voltage can be adjusted by the output voltage potentiometer.

The PDA series features an optimized quasi-resonant switching topology that achieves up to 87.5% efficiency at 230VAC and rated load conditions. Compared with the original PBA30F, the efficiency is increased by more than 5 percentage points, thereby reducing heat dissipation and increasing system reliability.

The PDA series features include inrush current limitation, overcurrent protection that automatically recovers after troubleshooting, and overvoltage protection.

Although fully compliant with the IEC61000-3-2 (Class A) standard, the PDA series is based on an optimized topology with no built-in active power factor correction.

The above products can operate in a wide temperature range of -20 to +70 ° C and can be installed in any direction, but depending on the ambient temperature and the surrounding environment, it may be derated.

In conducted emission testing, the PDA series meets the FCC-B, VCCI-B, CISPR11-B, C9905-870 ISPR32-B, EN55011-B and EN55032-B standards.

This power supply has an input-output isolation voltage of 3,000VAC, input-rack ground (FG) voltage of 2,000VAC, and output-rack ground voltage of 500VAC.

The PDA series is mounted on a galvanized steel bottom frame with an outer cover available as an “N” option.

Designed for demanding applications with limited space, the PDA15F measures just 31x78x85mm (1.22×3.07×3.35 inches) and weighs a maximum of 180g without cover and 210g with cover. The PDA30F measures 31x78x103mm (1.22×3.07×4.06 inches) and weighs up to 250g without cover and 280g with cover. The PDA50F measures 31x82x120mm (1.22×3.23×4.72 inches) and has a maximum weight of 330g without cover and 370g with cover.
