MTL661 Helping local customers achieve low-carbon transition

MTL661 Established in 1994, Honeywell’s Xi ‘an plant (Xi ‘an Suncel Electronics Co., LTD.) is one of Honeywell’s first joint ventures in China. Its main products involve fire protection, security, building intelligence integration and other fields, and has now developed into a global production base integrating first-class research and development, manufacturing and service. From this factory to the country and even the world of high-quality products, especially fire security products are widely used in all kinds of buildings, including Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Lujiazui Group Zhangjiang Science City and other landmark projects, has made outstanding contributions to China’s fire security cause.

“As a longtime practitioner and enabler of sustainability, Honeywell has more than 100 years of experience in sustainability and is committed to helping customers achieve their sustainability goals while advancing their own energy savings and emissions.” Chen Yan, vice president and general manager, Greater China, Honeywell Intelligent Building Technology Group, said, “We are honored to be awarded the ‘Green Factory’ title in Shaanxi Province. In the future, we will continue to promote sustainable development projects and use our business operations as a testing ground for technological innovation to provide customers with diversified, cost-effective and low-carbon sustainable products, technologies and solutions to help achieve China’s ‘carbon peak’ and ‘carbon neutral’ goals.”

Xi ‘an Factory continues to promote the creation of “green factory” by means of land iMTL661 ntensification, harmless raw materials, clean production, waste resource utilization and low energy carbonization. Especially in the field of low energy carbonization, Xi ‘an factory makes full use of clean energy and renewable energy, and actively promotes more than 30 sustainable improvement projects in recent years, including solar photovoltaic, water reuse, air compressor waste heat recovery, reflux furnace fixed frequency upgrade frequency conversion. After the implementation of the energy-saving improvement project, a total of about 3 tons of hazardous waste emissions will be reduced in 2022, and a total of 980,000 KWH of electricity will be saved, equivalent to reducing 559 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

In addition, the Xi ‘an plant also plans to implement nine projects in 2023, including renewable energy utilization projects, energy efficiency equipment replacement projects, clean raw material use projects, and aims to be put into use by the end of this year. In April 2021, Honeywell committed to achieving carbon neutrality for all of its business operations and facilities by 2035. Honeywell will continue its commitment to sustainability with a package of initiatives including increased investment in energy efficiency projects, adoption of renewable energy, completion of asset improvement projecMTL661 ts for business facilities and company vehicles, and use of reliable carbon credits. Since 2004, Honeywell has reduced the greenhouse gas emissions intensity of its operations and facilities by more than 90 percent.
