The 125768-01 is a RIM I/O module with RS232/RS422 interfaces developed by Bently Nevada.

It is part of the Bently Nevada 3500 series. The rack interface module is used as the main interface of the 3500 rack (RIM).

It supports proprietary protocols for setting up racks and getting machine data.

125768-01 Function Description
The first rack slot must contain the RIM (next to the power supply). RIM is compatible with TDXnet, TDIX, and DDIX Bentley Nevada external communications processors.
Although RIM performs some tasks that are shared by the entire rack, it is not an important part of the monitoring system

and has little to do with the proper functioning of the overall system. One RIM is required per rack. The 3500 system requires the TMR version of RIM to be used in applications that use Triple Modular redundancy (TMR).
TMR RIM performs a “Monitor channel comparison” in addition to all other normal RIM operations.
Configure a key lock
Used to switch 3500 racks between RUN and PROGRAM modes. RUN mode prevents configuration modifications

while allowing the rack to run properly. PROGRAM mode supports local and remote rack configurations as well as standard rack operations.
The switch can be left in the RUN or PROGRAM position by removing the key from either position in the rack. To prevent

unauthorized rack reconfiguration, lock the switch in the RUN position. By locking the switch to the PROGRAM location, the rack can be configured remotely at any time.
