The Bentley Nevada 3500/40M Proximitor monitor is a 4-channel monitor that receives input from proximity sensors, adjusts the signal to generate a variety of vibration and position measurements, and compares the adjusted signal to user-programmable alerts.

The 3500 rack configuration software allows users to program each channel of 3500/40m to perform the following functions: radial vibration, thrust position, differential expansion, eccentricities, and REBAM.
The listening channels are set up in pairs and can perform up to two of these functions simultaneously. Channels 1 and 2 can do one thing, but channels 3 and 4 can do something else (or the same thing).
Depending on the arrangement, each channel typically adjusts its input signal to various parameters called “static values.” The user can create an alert set point for each current static value and a danger set point for any two active static values.
