The 3500/25-PWA149369-01 is an enhanced Keyphasor module manufactured by Bently Nevada for mechanical condition monitoring systems. A half-height dual-channel module called the 3500/25 Enhanced Keyphasor module transmits the Keyphasor signal to the monitoring module in the 3500 rack. When the Keyphasor mark on the shaft is aligned with the Keyphasor sensor, the module detects alignment using a magnetic pickup or proximity probe and converts the input signal into a digital Keyphasor signal. The 3500 Mechanical protection system can accept up to four Keyphasor signals for a regular setup, and up to eight signals for a paired configuration. The Enhanced 3500 system module is called the Enhanced Keyphasor module. While maintaining full backward compatibility with existing Keyphasor modules in terms of shape, fit, and functionality for use in legacy systems, it provides higher Keyphasor signal processing capabilities than previous designs.

Whenever a Triple modular redundancy (TMR) application requires a system Keyphasor input, the 3500 system should use two Keyphasor modules. In this setup, modules operate in parallel to provide primary and secondary key phasor signals to other modules in the rack. Systems with more than four key phasor inputs can use pairing arrangements if there are no more than four primary phasor input signals

The pairing configuration requires two consecutive monitoring positions in either the upper/lower half slot position or two half slot positions. The four Keyphasor modules will provide four output channels and accept four primary input channels and four alternate input channels (one per module). It is also possible to set up three Keyphasor modules, two coupled and one unpaired.
Users can configure a single unpaired Keyphasor in this way. Isolated Keyphasor I/O modules are suitable for situations where many devices are connected to Keyphasor signals at the same time and where isolation from other systems, such as control systems, is required.
Although the isolated I/O module is primarily designed for magnetic pickup applications, it is compatible with Proximitor* applications and provides isolation as long as an external power supply is present.
