The 531X305NTBAPG1 is an NTB/3TB terminal board developed by GE under the EX2000 excitation system. The driver (or driver) cabinet is equipped with 531X305NTB (NTB/3TB) boards. The driver (or exciter) connection terminals for most external signal level I/O and the passive interface circuit are located on the board. Insert 6PL and 8PL from the drive control board, 2PL and 4PL from the power board, COMPL from the terminal board, 2PL and 4PL from the external device, and connect to NTB/3TB.

For external use, the NTB/3TB provides the following power outputs:
Voltage regulation of +5 V dc and 15 V dc, current capacity of 300 mA
Unregulated DC 24 V, 500 mA current capacity
120 V AC, 0.5 A current capacity

Encoder interface
A differential A-QUAD-B encoder interface with labeled channels is included in the NTB/3TB for connection to the driver.
On the drive control board, the circuit is optically isolated.
Jumpers are included in the NTB/3TB, allowing the interface to be set up for +5 V or 15 V encoders.
531X305NTBAPG1 digital control input
NTB/3TB Transfers various control inputs to the drive control board. There are 12 general purpose CONTROL inputs (up to 24 V DC) and dedicated digital inputs such as RESET and CONTROL ON.
Depending on whether positive or negative logic is used, hardware jumpers are used to bias the disconnected input to +24 or -24 V dc.
Other characteristics
Once installed, this card gives you access to various interface tools not included in the drive. Serial and relay outputs, low-level analog I/O, encoders, and power supplies are examples of applications. When installing the NTB/3TB terminal board, it provides both regulated and unregulated power supplies.
The host driver can be powered by regulated power supplies rated at 5 VDC and 15 VDC, as well as uncontrolled power supplies rated at 24 VDC or 120 VAC. Users can configure a variety of board Settings to meet individual load requirements. Jumpers on the board can be used to change the 5V and 15V encoders.
The board also includes A total of seven Type A and Type C relay outputs. Contacts rated at 120 VAC are included in all integrated relays. The card also includes four potentiometers for scaling low-level analog I/O.
