The 60WKS-M240/03-PB is an analog servo amplifier in the Kollmorgen 60WKS series. It is designed for the Kollmorgen SM series brushless synchronous servo motors. The servo amplifier has a built-in ballast circuit with -W – characteristics to improve the overall motion of the corresponding servo motor. The ballast circuit ensures efficient energy dissipation within the controller and drive system, thus achieving energy balance. Thanks to its compact design, the 60WKS-M240/03-PB can also be operated in a closed steel switchgear, which enhances optimal space management.

The 60WKS-M240/03-PB supply voltage is a three-phase supply with a frequency of 60 Hz to 60 Hz (+/-10%) and a voltage range of 60 V to 172 V. Its minimum motor inductance is 5.0 mH and its ballast circuit has a pulse power of 5.4 kW. This 1.4kg servo amplifier can be cooled by natural convection, where uninterrupted airflow is allowed into the switchgear. In combination with the servo amplifier, the rotor position sensor (RLG) and speed monitoring help maintain the precision, speed and accuracy of the connected servo motor.

The operation of the 60WKS-M240/03-PB requires an ambient temperature range of 0 to 40oC and a relative humidity level of 5 to 85%. The installation height of its operation shall also be maintained at a maximum height of 1000 m above sea level. The protection class (IP) of the servo amplifier is IP 00, but the power supply connection area provides anti-touch protection. Color leds are also incorporated into its design as indicators for fault diagnosis and operating signals. 60WKS-M240/03-PB is widely used in semiconductor industry, test bench, packaging machine and so on.

Interface and communication:
The logic independent dual bus electrical interface can realize the backup of the electrical interface or the single device can connect to the dual redundant bus system.
Supports two Profibus DP bus segments and multi-segment Profibus DP bus connections (up to 200 network segments) through optical fibers.
Dual optical ports are used to implement the redundancy function of the dual fiber-ring network, which ensures the rapid recovery and normal communication of the system when the network fails.
The proprietary ring network protocol Ci-ring developed by the company is used to realize the function of rapid ring formation and ring resolution.
