The 60WKS-M240/12-PB is a servo amplifier designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. It is one of the models that make up the company’s 60WKS series of servo amplifiers. Compatible with SM series brushless synchronous servo motor. It can be set up as part of the drive system for efficient speed and torque control. It supports 4-quadrant (4-Q) operation and is equipped with a 3-phase output stage to enhance this functionality. Its rated output current for 4Q operation is 12A.

The 60WKS-M240/12-PB uses trapezoidal commutation in operation with the servo motor to increase the total torque and eliminate torque pulsation when the current is switched between phases. This model enables undervoltage and overvoltage monitoring, and colored LED lights are used as indicators of these parameters. Its motor windings also feature a built-in temperature sensitive monitor and are cooled by forced ventilation.

The 60WKS-M240/12-PB delivers 30 A peak output current for up to 5 seconds. It has a rated DC bus voltage of 240 V and can be used with an external 24 V auxiliary power supply. Use does not require an external ballast circuit as it is equipped with a built-in ballast circuit. The ballast circuit has a continuous power of 135 W. The servo amplifier is designated as pollution Class 2 according to EN60204 / EN50178. The pollution rating means that it is suitable for environments with non-conductive pollution and temporary conductivity that is infrequent due to condensation. It also has an IP 00 rating, but has a touch-resistant power connection area. It should be operated at an ambient temperature of no more than 40°C and a maximum altitude of 1000 m.
