​The AI03 analog input module can process up to 8 isolated RTD temperature input field signals. Each channel supports 2/3/4 line RTD wiring and can be configured independently for any supported RTD type. FC 221 (I/O Device Definition) sets the AI module operating parameters, and each input channel is configured using FC 222 (analog input channel) to set independent input channel parameters, such as engineering units, high/low alarm limits, etc.
​Each channel has A/D resolution of 16 bits with polarity. The AI03 module has four A/D converters, each of which provides two input channels. The module will update eight input channels in 450 milliseconds.
​The AI03 module is automatically calibrated, so manual calibration is not required.
