The 2-channel Profibus-DP Fieldbus interface module FBM223 connects PROFIBUS-DP slave devices such as motor drivers, I/O modules, and field I/O devices to I/A series systems. PROFIBUS is an open, vendor-independent fieldbus standard that is widely used in process automation and manufacturing. The standard EN 50170 defines the functional, electrical and mechanical characteristics of the serial transport bus, ensuring supplier independence and openness.

PROFIBUS-DP Fieldbus specification: This module ensures compatibility with PROFIBUS-DP slave devices commonly found in industrial fieldbus applications.

Provides full support for all device variables and diagnostic messages: it reads and writes data from the device from PROFIBUS-DP, including real-time sensor data and historical alarm logs.

Integration of PROFIBUS slave station equipment data into the I/A series control database: This facilitates centralized monitoring within the I/A series control system.

Suitable for hazardous environments: The FBM223 and its associated termination components (TA) are suitable for installation in Class 1, Zone 2, and Zone 2 locations.
