The IC660ELB931 PCI Genius interface card is a PCI interface card manufactured by GE Fanuc in the Genius I/O series.

It helps to integrate the PCI slot and single-channel universal controller interface of PC-compatible computers with Genius serial bus devices.

The IC660ELB931 PCI Genius Interface card is compatible with all Genius bus communication protocols.

The main responsibility of the interface card is to provide the ability to connect third-party devices such as PLCS, I/O modules, and cpus to Genius bus devices.

The panel of the PCI card has a 4-pin right Angle male terminal box connector with shielded output, shielded input, serial 1 and serial 2 pins for Genius I/O connection. It also houses DIP switches and bus connectors for easy configuration.

The IC660ELB931 PCI Genius Interface Card can be inserted into a PCI slot on a compatible PC.

The DIP switch of the module can be used to configure the terminal resistance of the Genius bus.

It has 2 LED status indicators, which are used to show the status of the module’s operation and communication process.

If an error occurs when the card sends and receives data on the Genius serial bus, the “Communication normal” LED begins to flash.

If the required power level is available on the card and the card passes the onboard self-diagnostic test, the “Genius OK” LED will light up. The IC660ELB931 PCI Genius interface card can communicate with up to 32 devices at the standard baud rate of 153.6 Kbaud.

Its onboard DIP switches offer optional bus termination resistors of 75, 100, 120 or 150 ohms.

The required network cable is a Daisy chain bus cable with a single twisted pair cable and a shielded cable. It has the UL 508/C-UL, UL 1604C-UL and CE certifications required to comply with industry standards.
