IC687RCM711

The IC687RCM711 communication module is designed and distributed by GE Fanuc Automation. This part is used in a system called a “thermal redundancy system”. The purpose of this part is to synchronize the CPU installed in the system. It uses the existing data in the backup cell to perform this specific operation. When connected to the system, the module can also be used to transfer data from one CPU to another. The GE Fanuc Automation IC687RCM711 communication module can be connected using a cable of at least 7.5 meters. It is compatible with the same family of GE IC697 series cpus. In terms of installation space, the module requires only one slot, including 2 different connectors. The most common slot is the one placed on the top cover of the module.

The GE Fanuc Automated IC687RCM711 communication module performs data transfer at speeds of up to 500 kilobits per second.
