IC693CMM301

GE Fanuc IC693CMM301 module is a 90-30 series Genius communication module. The module can communicate automatically. It enables “global data” communication between GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLCS and up to seven additional devices with a Genius bus. Global data communication refers to the communication involving repeated and automatic transmission of data that can be received by multiple devices with shared databases. Some of the devices that the IC693CMM301 Genius communication module can provide global data include GE 90-30 series PLCS, GE 90-70 series PLCS, a computer for programming and configuring applications, and another computer with a PCIM card for data monitoring applications.

The GE Fanuc IC693CMM301 Genius communication module can exchange up to 32 bytes or a total of 256 bits of data. It’s easy to connect the IC693CMM301 Genius communication module to the PLC backplane that hosts it. The module does not have a jumper or DIP switch, so it must be configured using a handheld programmer or appropriate system programming software. There are 2 leds on the IC693CMM301 Genius communication module. OK LED indicates that the module has completed and passed the power-on test and is operating normally. COM LED indicates that the module has been initialized by a 90-30 GE series PLC and that the module is receiving bus communication. The COM LED will remain lit after successful startup and throughout operation, unless there is a significantly high number error, which will cause the COM LED to flash.
