The IC695CPU315 is a 1 GHz CPU from the GE Fanuc PACSystems RX3i series. It has an Intel Celeron-M microprocessor with 20 MB of user memory (also known as random access memory or RAM) and 20 MB of flash memory. As a programmable controller, the IC695CPU315 is capable of up to 32K I/O operations per second. It supports up to 512 blocks, each with a maximum size of 128 KB. The IC695CPU315 uses a dual-backplane bus to communicate with the I/O and smart option modules.

RX3i cpus like this one are designed for real-time control of machines, processes, and material handling systems. They can be programmed in C or three of the five programming languages recognized by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). From the list of IEC languages, you can program the IC695CPU315 in ladder diagram (ladder Diagram), structured text, or function block diagram languages. Only the “Sequential Function Diagram” and “Instruction List” language options do not apply.

The IC695CPU315 uses a floating point algorithm and its firmware can be upgraded within the system. The automatically positioned symbol variable can use as much memory as needed, up to the full capacity of 20 MB of user memory. The CPU is shipped with two front-facing = ports, one RS-485 serial port, and one RS-232 serial port. So you have both a 9-pin connector and a 15-pin connector. The CPU supports SNP, serial I/O, and Modbus slave and master serial protocols. The IC695CPU315 also supports most older GE Fanuc series 90-30 modules and expansion racks.
