Function description:

IS200SPROH1A

The IS200SPROH1A is a backup protected terminal board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VIe family used in GE distributed gas turbine control systems. The SPRO terminal board hosts the PPRO I/O package. It regulates the speed signal input of the PPRO and contains a pair of potential transformers (PT) for the bus and generator voltage input. SPRO accepts direct installation of a PPROH1A and provides a DC-37 connector for connecting the cable to the selected spare trip relay terminal board. It has a DC-37 pin connector near the PPRO battery pack connector, which accepts the cable to the Mark VIe backup trip relay patch board.

The SPROH1A has 24 barrier terminals in one pluggable block.

The SPROH2A has 24 pluggable European box terminals.

Installation:

SPRO and plastic insulators are mounted on sheet metal brackets, which are mounted on DIN rails. Optionally, the SPRO and insulator are mounted on a sheet metal assembly that is bolted directly to the panel. The speed signal and PT input are connected directly to the terminal using a typical #18 AWG wire. SPROH1A grid terminal can be removed, easy to replace the circuit board. SPROH2A European terminals have terminals that can be removed to replace the circuit board. The PPRO I/O kit is installed directly on the SPRO’s connector JA1. The DC-37 pin conductor cable plugs into connector JA3 of the SPRO and connects the other end to the selected spare trip terminal board.

Controls:

The SPRO’s PT input is displayed on terminals 1-4. The three-speed input is displayed on terminals 19-24. Terminals 7-15 are reserved for future expansion of control functions and are routed to the JA1 PPRO connector. Terminals 5-6 and 16-18 are not connected. JA1 and JA3 connectors provide locations for PPRO and trip terminal board cables.
