The IS200TPROH1BBB protection end board is a long rectangle. There are a wide variety of electronic components on the IS200TPROH1BBB,
from very small to very large. The left side of the IS200TPROH1BBB is occupied by two (2) very large terminals, which are black solid colored and marked with white numbers.
Each terminal contains a set of silver metal terminals labeled from one to forty-eight (48). Located on top of the IS200TPROH1BBB are a pair of relays or contactors with red squares.
These relays contain yellow components at the top. Each relay has a MOV or metal oxide varistor on the left side that is steady red.
Three (3) black variable resistors or potentiometers are grouped together in a vertical line near the top right corner of the IS200TPROH1BBB.

System configuration
VPRO Redundancy: The protection system consists of triple redundant VPRO boards that operate separately from the main turbine control system. These VPRO boards manage trip solenoid valves via TREx (TREG, TREL or TRES) modules, providing critical control over emergency trip functions.
Input provision: TPRO acts as an input source for all three VPRO boards, facilitating critical signal delivery for coordinated emergency functions.
Wiring configuration
The visual representation in the figure illustrates the cabling setup from TPRO to VPRO and TREx terminal boards. This layout demonstrates the complex connections that ensure the flow of data and control signals between these important modules.
Function and trip solenoid valve control
Emergency trip function: VPRO is the primary entity providing emergency trip function and plays a key role in preventing potential hazards. It controls up to three trip solenids connected between the TREx and TRPx (TRPG, TRPL, or TRPS) terminal boards.
Turbine trip control: TREx and TRPx terminal boards manage the positive and negative terminals of the 125 V DC power supply, respectively, to trigger the solenoid valve. Any plate has the ability to trip the turbine in an emergency.
Overspeed protection: VPRO is responsible for emergency overspeed protection and emergency stop functions, ensuring a quick response to critical situations.
Control and relay management
Relay control: VPRO controls the 12 relays on the TREG board, nine of which form three groups to vote on the inputs that manage the three trip solenoid valves. These relays are a key element of a coordinated emergency response.
Auxiliary TREG connection: In addition, the auxiliary TREG board can be driven from VPRO to J4, further enhancing redundancy and control in case of an emergency.
