The Mark VIe Acoustic Monitoring terminal board is a dual terminal board that provides 18 inputs to the acoustic monitoring system.
Each input channel has two wiring points for a total of 18 channels across 36 terminals.
It also has 18 buffered outputs on 36 terminals for connecting external instruments to monitor the AC voltage signal representing the dynamic pressure
signal of the burner. Protects against extremely high frequency noise generated by external sources and includes passive electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters.

Channels 1-9 can support PCB piezoelectric sensor or charge converter signal amplifier (CCSA) output. The sensor power of the PCB sensor is separate from the sensor power of channels 10-18.
Channels 10 to 18 can be programmed to support PCB piezoelectric sensors or CCSA outputs. The sensor power of the PCB sensor is independent of the sensor power of channels 1-9.
18 buffered outputs provide dynamic pressure signal AC signal content without DC bias voltage.

Install
The hardware jumper connects the constant current source to the SIGx line of the PCB sensor. JPx is the hardware jumper on each channel (where x is equal to the input number). If using GE CCSA for Endevco sensors or any other voltage output device, the jumper should be in the CCSA position.
If a PCB sensor or other current output device is used, the jumper should be in the PCB position.
Controls
The CCSA sends an AC voltage signal proportional to the dynamic pressure induced by the Endevco pressure sensor. It receives the dynamic pressure directly from the PCB pressure sensor as the AC voltage of the DC bias voltage.
Each channel provides a constant current source for the PCB sensor, which can be connected to SIGx (where x is the channel number). JPx (where x equals the channel number) is a bipolar jumper that controls the constant current power supply and whether RETx is connected to the power grounding PCOM. When JPx is in the CCSA position, the constant current is turned off and RETx is disconnected from PCOM.
When the JPx is on the PCB, a constant current is connected to the SIGx, providing about 3 mA of current to power the PCB sensor. To provide a return path of constant current, the RETx line is connected to PCOM.
