IS220PDOAH1A This model features a discrete output package designed with interfaces for up to two I/O Ethernet networks and other discrete output terminals. A special feature of this model is that it can control up to 12 relays and receive feedback signals from other terminal boards. Typical relays available for this model are solid-state relays and electromagnetic relays. Solid-state relays are used with TRLYH1B, C, D, and F terminals, while electromagnetic relays are used with TRLYH1E boards. The battery pack will receive input from a dual RJ45 Ethernet connector as well as a three-pin power input.

compatibility
It is suitable for six different types of discrete (relay) output terminal boards, including TRLY and SRLY boards, but not DRLY boards mounted on DIN rails. The number of I/O packets used in the signal path is called the control mode:

Simplex uses a single I/O packet and one or two network connections.
Dual uses two I/O packets and has one or two network interfaces.
TMR uses three I/O packets, each with a network connection.

Install
To install the PDOA package:
Securely install the selected terminal plate.
Plug one simplex PDOA I/O packet or three TMR PDOA I/O packets directly into the terminal board connector.
The battery pack is mechanically secured using threaded studs next to the Ethernet port. The studs are installed in a mounting bracket for the terminal board. The position of the bracket should ensure that no direct angular force is applied to the DC37 connector between the battery pack and the terminal board. It only needs to be adjusted once during the service life of the product.
Connect one or two Ethernet cables, depending on the system configuration. This package is available on any port. When using dual connections, it is common practice to connect ENET1 to the network associated with the R controller.
Connect the battery pack to the power supply by inserting a connector into the side of the battery pack. Because the I/O package has an inherent soft start function that controls the surge on the power application, there is no need to plug in this connector with the power disconnected.
Configure I/O packages as required.

Controls
processor
The processor board is linked to a capture board dedicated to the I/O packet function. When an input power supply is applied, the soft start circuit increases the available voltage on the processor board. The local power supply is turned on one by one, and the processor reset is disabled. After completing the self-check routine, the processor loads application code from flash specific to the type of I/O package.
The application code reads the board ID information to ensure that the application code, acquisition board, and terminal board are correctly matched. If the match is good, the processor tries to establish Ethernet communication, starting with a network address request.
The address request uses the industry-standard Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and the unique identification of the terminal board. After Ethernet initialization, the processor programs the onboard logic, executes the application, and allows the acquisition board to start.
