The IS420UCSBH4A is a UCSB controller module for the Mark VIe family of turbine control systems developed by GE.
This is a quad-core controller with excellent performance and reliability.
The system is based on the QNX Neutrino operating system, which runs on a 1066 MHz Intel EP80579 microprocessor.
The system uses relay ladder structure and control block language with Boolean logic.

UCSB installation:
A single module mounted directly to the sheet metal on the panel contains the controller. The dimensions of the module housing and mounting are shown in the figure below. Each measurement is measured in inches. The UCSB must be mounted on the panel as shown in the picture, kept unobstructed by the vertical airflow of the fins.
UCSB Software and Communications:
Install software customized for controller use. Rungs or blocks can be run by it. Small changes to the control software can be made online without restarting. The clocks of the 1/O packet and controller are synchronized to within 100 microseconds using the IEEE 1588 protocol via R, S, and TIONet. With R, S, and IONet, external data is sent to and received from the control system database in the controller. This includes the process input and output of the 1/0 module.
