IS420YAICS1B

The analog I/O package IS420YAICS1B is part of the Mark VIe series produced by General Electric. The I/O packet can be connected between up to two Ethernet networks and a terminal analog I/O board. The kit can handle up to 10 analog inputs, two of which can be configured with ±1 mA or 4-20 mA current inputs, and the remaining eight with ±5 V or ±10 V inputs, or 4-20 mA current loop inputs. The packet can send and receive data via dual RJ45 Ethernet connectors.

While the various units in the Mark VIe series can be used for dual, TMR, or simplex redundancy applications, the IS420YAICS1B I/O package can only be used for TMR or simplex applications, and note that when using this package in TMR redundancy applications, three I/O packages will be used. In a simplex redundant application, only one I/O packet is used. Another important note is that all I/O packages in a TMR set must be in the same hardware form. There is another version of the YAIC I/O package, labeled IS420YAICS1A package, and please note that the package versions cannot be mixed on the same T-terminal board.

Install
Securely install the selected terminal plate.
Plug one simplex YAIC I/O package or three TMR YAIC I/O packages directly into the terminal board connector.
The battery pack is mechanically secured using threaded studs next to the Ethernet port. The studs are installed in a mounting bracket for the terminal board. The position of the bracket should ensure that no direct angular force is applied to the -37 connector between the battery pack and the terminal board. It only needs to be adjusted once during the service life of the product.
Connect one or two Ethernet cables, depending on the system configuration. This package is available on any port. When using dual connections, it is common practice to connect ENET1 to the network associated with the R controller.
Connect the battery pack to the power supply by inserting a connector into the side of the battery pack. Because the I/O package has an inherent soft start function that controls the surge on the power application, there is no need to plug in this connector with the power disconnected.

The I/O package contains the following connectors:

The DC-37 pin connector at the bottom of the YAIC is connected to the separate input terminal board. 24 input signals, ID signals, relay coil power and feedback multiplexing commands are mounted on the connector.
The main system interface is an RJ-45 Ethernet connector marked ENET1 on the battery side.
The redundant or auxiliary system interface is a second RJ-45 Ethernet connector named ENET2 on the side of the I/O packet.
The 3-pin power connector on the battery pack side provides 28 V DC power to the battery pack and terminal board.
