The MS4128-L3P is a modular card rail switch produced by Hirschmann, which has a modular NMS function and is an industrial Ethernet card rail layer 3 switch. Equipped with a solidified configuration of the enhanced software, the switch supports store-and-forward switching mode and is capable of handling data transfers over Ethernet (10Mbit/s), fast Ethernet (100Mbit/s) and Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbit/s).

The features of the switch include:
Up to 28 ports are available through the available media modules, including 4 1000 BASE-SX with SFP modules or 4 10/100/1000 BASE-TX and 24 fast Ethernet ports (100Mbit/s via MB-2T).
24V DC power supply is supported, the current consumption is about 630mA (excluding the media module), and the power consumption is about 150W (excluding the media module).
Operating temperatures range from 0°C to +60°C, storage/transport temperatures from -25°C to +70°C, and relative humidity (without condensation) from 10% to 95%.
The mean time to failure (MTBF) is 24.2 years, in compliance with MIL-HDBK 217F.
It measures 315mm x 134mm x 140mm, is mounted in DIN Rail, weighs 2.2kg and has IP 20 protection.
