The MVME2300 series VME board offers the performance of the MOTOROLA PowerPlus architecture and the ability to fully customize your applications with two PCI sandwich cards (PMCS). Utilizing MOTOROLA’s MPC60x class 32-bit microprocessors, Peripheral component Interconnect (PCI) bus for on-board peripherals, processor-memory bus to PCI bus bridge, and VME interface, the MVME2300 processor module packs the best level of flexibility and performance into a single VME slot.

Core processor:
At the heart of the MVME2301-900 is the MPC8240, a highly integrated PowerPC architecture microprocessor with an MPC60X-class core, advanced memory controller, and Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) interface.
Memory configuration:
The module is equipped with 32MB of onboard SDRAM and comes with optional ECC protection to ensure data integrity and system stability.
Flash and Storage:
The MVME2301-900 offers two 32-pin PLCC/CLCC sockets for flash memory, supporting up to 1MB of onboard firmware capacity or user-specified requirements.
Users can also specify 4MB of on-board flash memory requirements to meet the storage needs of specific applications.
Extension interface:
The MVME2301-900 features an IEEE P1386.1-compliant 32-bit PMC slot with a front panel and P2 I/O, providing users with high-performance building blocks for industrial automation I/O expansion.
At the same time, it also comes with three 32-bit PC MIP expansion slots that are compatible with the VITA 29 draft standard: one Type I slot with rear panel I/O and two Type II slots with front panel I/O, giving users a rich range of expansion options.
