The module provides four-channel dynamic signal acquisition for high-precision frequency-domain measurements, as well as six gain Settings to configure the input range. The PXI‑4462 also features software-configurable AC/DC coupling and IEPE conditioning. The hardware and software included in the PXI‑4462 are suitable for microphones, accelerometers and other sensors with an extremely wide dynamic range for precise measurements. Common applications include audio testing, automotive noise, vibration and sound roughness (NVH) analysis, and machine condition monitoring

A high precision analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that provides 24-bit resolution and is capable of capturing detail in sound and vibration signals.
With a sampling rate of up to 204.8 kS/s, it can capture rapidly changing sound and vibration phenomena.
With a dynamic range of 110 dB, it can handle a wide range of signal amplitudes.
The total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) is less than 0.003%, ensuring the accuracy of the measurement and the high fidelity of the audio reproduction.
The input impedance is 20 kΩ and the output impedance is 100 Ω, providing a ±10V input and output voltage range.
Operating temperature range from 0 to 55°C, suitable for a wide range of environmental conditions.
Support synchronization with a variety of measurement devices, analog trigger and digital trigger functions, as well as DMA data transmission.
Compatible with multiple software packages and application development environments such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI or Measurement Studio.
