The RED670 IED (Intelligent Electronic Device) is designed to protect, monitor and control overhead lines and cables.

In addition, the IED is capable of handling transformer feeders, generators and transformer blocks. It offers a wide range of features,

including configuration opportunities and scalable hardware to meet your specific requirements.

The RED670 IED is pre-configured, type-tested and delivered with default parameters for fast and efficient commissioning.

These IEDs are equipped with full functionality for single-pole circuit breakers or multi-circuit breaker arrangements with single – or three-phase trips.

If needed, they can also be easily adjusted to meet the specific requirements of your power system. The wide range of application flexibility makes

these IEDs an excellent choice for new and retrofit installations.

The RED670 IED features phase isolated current differential protection for excellent sensitivity to high resistance faults and provides safe phase

selection for up to 5 line terminals. Two – or three-winding power transformers can be contained within the protected area.
