8-channel Strain/Bridge input module for SCXI – SCXI‑1520 is a strain/bridge input module. You can configure module Settings channel by channel for maximum flexibility in test unit applications that measure strain, force, torque or pressure sensors. The SCXI‑1520 can measure strain gauge configurations, including quarter bridge, half bridge and full bridge configurations. The module features a software-selectable voltage excitation, multiple low-pass filters and more than 40 input gain Settings. Scxi-1314 or SCXI-1314T front-end junction box is required to use the SCXI1520.

The SCXI 1520 runs with NI-DAQmx driver software that is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ades) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/ CVI or Measurement Studio.

Parallel mode can be used for high-speed acquisition using NI-DAQ 7. In parallel mode, each channel is directed to a different analog input channel of the DAQ instrument. NI-DAQ Traditional has no parallel operation mode. In addition, the SCXI-1520 has a random scan function on the strain/bridge input module. The random scan feature allows users to get information from the channels they choose in any order, which helps reduce the total scanning time. If the application requires fewer than eight strain gauges, additional analog input channels can be used for generic analog signals. The device weighs 10.4 ounces and measures 1.2 x 6.9 x 8.0 inches.
