SM-PROFIBUS DP-V1 automatically detects and synchronizes the PROFIBUS-DP network data rate. prMM.04 will indicate the data rate that has been detected by the SM-PROFIBUS DP-V1. This parameter can also be used in menu 0(Pr00.53) of the directive SK.
The value -1 indicates that SM-PROFIBUS DP-V1 is not detecting any activity on the PROFIBUS-DP network and is waiting for the host controller to start communicating.

The PROFIBUS-DP data rate parameter can be changed, but this does not affect the data rate of SM-PROFIBUS DP-V1 communication. When SM-PROFIBUS DP-V1 is reinitialized, the data rate display will be updated.

PROFIBUS-DP network activity can be monitored in the SM-PROFIBUS DP-V1 operating status parameter PrMM.06. When SM-PROFIBUS DP-V1 successfully communicates with the PROFIBUS-DP master controller, PrMM.06 indicates the number of cyclic data messages processed per second. This parameter can also be used in menu 0 of instruction SK(Pr00.54).

This sequence is not stored in the configuration parameters of the drive or SM-PROFIBUS DP-V1 flash. This will immediately change back to 0, so the change may not be visible on the display.

Saving parameters to the drive In order to avoid losing configuration Settings when the drive is powered off, it is necessary to store parameters in the drive’s memory.
To store the drive parameters, the drive will store all the drive parameters (except for the application Laidan 20) without affecting the operation of the SM-PROFIBUS DP-VI. Any changes made to the SM-PROFIBUS DP-V1 configuration parameters (mapping, etc.) will not take effect until the SM-PROFIBUS DP-V1 module is reset.
