​Design Purpose: The VBS01-EPD mounting base is designed to accommodate externally powered or externally

powered field signal differential input bases and consists of two 16-head provides connected to any two pluggable 16-point terminal blocks for field signal

line direct connection or connection to marshalling terminal hardware
​Compatibility: All types of SD I/O modules and bases (singular or redundant) and dimensions (compact or full-size) are 100% compatible with VBS01-EPD,

allowing singular and redundant, compact or full-size I/O modules to be installed on a single, common HN800 I/O bus
​Features: The VBS01-EPD has an output contact monitor that reads back and detects high-coverage failures of the internal FBM, allowing redundant partners

to automatically continue driving discrete outputs and monitoring inputs. The FBM240 has eight internal read back channels, one for each output channel,

to verify that the output has changed to the requested state
​Configuration and communication: VBS01-EPD supports configuration data backup in a central location, using a client/server architecture, and the server

supports up to 10 simultaneous clients. In addition, it supports real-time communication with S+ controllers, including Ethernet modules (PNI800 or IET800) and serial modules (ICT01, ICT13A, etc.)
​Installation: The VBS01-EPD uses the industry standard 35-mm DIN rail for horizontal in-line installation and has a locking device to secure it to the rail
​Specifications: VBS01-EPD is suitable for 0/20mA, 4/20mA DC, single-ended unipolar input with 12-bit resolution, input shunting resistance protected

by PTC resistance up to 30V, and analog input short-circuit protection up to ZP or +24V. In addition, it supports HART communication and process and power connections via detachable connectors
