VMIVME-4100 Schneider Electric tin-free Green Smart Industry Park officially started

VMIVME-4100China’s industry is facing the “double transformation” of digitization and green low-carbon, digital technology and green development are the necessary conditions for high-quality development of enterprises. As Schneider Electric’s electronics capability manufacturing center in China, the Wuxi base faces the needs of business expansion, supply chain expansion and increased research and development efforts. With the strong support of the local government, Schneider Electric decided to build a new green smart industrial park, namely, Schneider Electric Wuxi Green Smart Industrial Park. The industrial park will be built in two phases, the first phase will build 68,000 square meters of comprehensive park, including 10,000 square meters of research and development building, is scheduled to be put into use in 2025.

Wuxi attaches great importance to the construction of green economy, focuses on the development of advanced manufacturing industry, and adheres to a high level of opening up. The good local business environment, rich talent reserve, complete upstream and downstream industry chain and infrastructure construction have laid a solid foundation for the development of Schneider Electric in Wuxi. Cui Rongguo, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Wuxi High-tech Zone and Secretary of Xinwu District Party Committee, highly recognized Schneider Electric’s development and exemplary role in Wuxi. Based on the three goals of zero carbon, green and smart, Schneider Electric Wuxi Green Smart Industrial Park will actively introduce cutting-edge digital technologies such as 5G communication and artificial intelligence, and comprehensively improve the safe and efficient production and delivery capacity of supply chain by building a comprehensive park integrating green sustainable development concept, digital factory and R&D innovation. Strengthen cooperation with local partners and industry customers to set a benchmark for green intelligent manufacturing and zero-carbon industrial parks in China.

Schneider Electric Wuxi base has been rooted in Taihu Lake since 2001, with the strong support of Wuxi Municipal government and Wuxi High-tech Zone Management Committee, relying on the localization concept and constantly moving forward. For more than 20 years, the company has continuously introduced new production lines, expanded R&D, production and business investment, and created an industrial ecosystem integrating research, production, supply, sales and service. It has been rated as an end-to-end “lighthouse factory” by the World Economic Forum. In March this year, Schneider Electric China Automation R&D Center officially landed in Wuxi, becoming Schneider Electric’s fifth R&D center in China.
