As a supporter of the FASTEST project, Comau is committed to working with a multi-disciplinary alliance to develop a digital strategy for a next-generation battery system test platform. Within the scope of this project, Comaar will significantly accelerate the testing and validation of automotive batteries and stationary batteries with its long-standing expertise in digitization, process simulation and electrification. In addition to reducing the number of physical experiments and material costs, it is expected to reduce the overall time and cost of battery production by at least 20 peXVS-460-15MPI-1-10 rcent.
Comau is tasked with optimizing its digitalization strategy for digital twin data analysis by integrating its powerful In.Grid iot platform. This step will enable complete virtual environment information exchange in the second phase, further reducing the time-to-market for battery manufacturers. Once the infrastructure verification is complete, Comau will work closely with alliance members such as research centers, universities, industry players and battery manufacturers to help lead the industrialization process.
FASTEST is supported by the European Union within the framework of the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme. Unlike current experimental testing methods, which can take years and be costly, the project envisions rapid testing and implementation through digital twin technology that enables customers to replace physical deployments with data-driven models.
